RESEARCH DATA MANAGEMENT

As the coordinator for research data management (RDM), I support research groups and joint projects at OVGU in implementing effective RDM tailored to the respective departments. It is important to me to draw on established national and international standards and services in order to avoid isolated solutions or the resource-intensive creation of duplicate structures.

Due to my long-term experience in the data-intensive neurosciences, I am pursuing an application-oriented approach to RDM. However, it is also important to me to take national and international developments into account. Through my work in the office of the National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI) e.V., I was able to gain a good overview of the current developments and players in the field of RDM. RDM is based on good networking and communication, and it is therefore important for me to act as an interface and to synchronize local RDM activities at OVGU with national and international activities.
